Method 1 of 2: Preparing the Skin

1 Wash yourself. Your skin needs to be clean, so take off your makeup and remove any products that have been applied to your face. Pat dry with a towel. Do not rub it to avoid irritating your skin.
2 Boil water on the stove. It will be easier for you to remove blackheads if the pores are open. When you steam your skin, the pores will open and you can squeeze out comedones with ease. Plus, you will feel good and relaxed.
3 Cover your head with a towel. While the water is heating, find a towel to cover your head as you steam your face. The towel will hold in the steam and you will get all the benefits of a steam session.
4 Tilt your head over the hovering pot. Remove the pot from the stove when steam starts to escape. Lean over the boiling water, the towel should be on your head. Remain in this position for 4 to 8 minutes.

Warnings
