You have been diagnosed with diabetes and do not know your blood glucose level or want to check your glucose level for other purposes, use these instructions.

Steps

1. 1 Using the meter and lancet instructions, prepare to draw a blood sample. Take one test strip and place it on the meter.
2. 2 Look at the screen and check that the number that appears on the display is the same as the code on the packaging of the testers.
3. 3 Take the lancets and place one of them in the dial device as deep as you need it.
4. 4 Wash your hand with warm water and soap.
5. 5 Dry your hand and rub gently on the finger that you will be pricking. Sterilize with an alcohol wipe if possible (be sure not to pinch your finger with multiple glucose tests).
6. 6 Knock the tip of your finger (if you prick the tip of your finger, it doesn't hurt so much). Pull the needle back out, quickly turn the device over to the other side and place it on your finger. Press the button to remove the lancet.
7. 7 Press gently on your finger to release a drop of blood.
8. 8 Place a drop of blood on the end of the tester. The glucose level will appear on the screen.
9. 9 Place the tester and lancet carefully in the biosecurity container.
10. 10 Record your glucose readings in your medical record.

Tips

• Never do not give insulin shots unless prescribed. He can kill you!
