Whether you are booking a flight over the internet, by phone or a travel agent, it is still essential to check the flight booking information before going to the airport. Finding your reservation information on the airline website usually allows you to view / adjust your seat, purchase meals and submit requests for some special services. This article will guide you on how to view and adjust flight booking information on the websites of some familiar airlines. If you don't see what airline you're looking for, you will still find similar options on most other airlines' websites.

Steps

Method 1 of 5: American Airlines

1. 

   Find the 6 characters of the booking code. If you have booked an online flight on a website, you will see this code in your payment / reservation confirmation email. If you have a paper ticket or boarding pass, this code is usually found on the front of the information section.
   • Depending on the booking site, the booking code may be referred to as "Record locator" or "Confirmation code".
   • Even if you have booked an airline ticket through a travel agency, you can still find your flight information on the airline's website.

   Click the card Your trips / Check in (Your Trip / Check in) between the "Book flights" tab and "Flight status".
   • If you know the flight number and just want to check your scheduled arrival or departure times, click the pass Flight status (Flight status), enter flight information and click Find flight (Search for flights).

   Enter the passenger name and 6-character booking code. Each passenger needs to be checked in separately. Please enter the correct name entered when you booked your flight.

Method 2 of 5: Delta Airlines

Method 3 of 5: United Airlines

1. 

   Access https://www.united.com from the web browser on your computer, phone or tablet. Even if you have booked an airline ticket through a travel agency, you can still find your flight information on the airline's website.
   • If you just want to check your scheduled arrival time or departure time, click the pass Flight status (Flight status) in blue, enter the information and click Search (Search).
   • If there is less than 24 hours left before departure and would like to check-in for your flight, click on the pass Check-in in blue, enter your confirmation code (in the email sent from your flight booking), your last name and click Search. Follow the instructions on the screen to check-in. If you don't have a confirmation code, you can use a 16-digit ticket number.

   Enter the 6-character verification code. If you have booked an online flight on a website, you will see this code in your payment / reservation confirmation email. If you have a paper ticket or boarding pass, this code is usually found on the front of the information section.
   • If you don't have the code but bought your ticket on United.com, click SIGN IN (Login) in the top-right corner of the page to log in to your Mileage Plus account. This gives you a path to see all booking information.

   Type the passenger's last name according to the information entered when booking.

   Click the button Search (Search) is blue. In the west you will find information including flight number, departure / arrival time, seats and upgrade.

   • If you just want to check your flight's arrival time or scheduled departure time, click FLIGHT STATUS (Flight status) on the blue bar above departure and return dates, then enter the flight information and click Search (Search).
   • If you are still within 24 hours prior to departure and want to check your flight, click CHECK IN in the blue bar (to the left of "FLIGHT STATUS" (Flight Status)), enter the confirmation code (in the email sent from the flight booking) along with the name and click Check in.

   Click Log in (Login) in the top-right corner of the page to see the login window.

   Enter Southwest Airlines credentials and click Log in. Please create an account if you do not have one. Click Enroll now (Register now) below the password field, and follow the onscreen instructions to create and sign in to your new account.

   Click My Account (My account) is in the top-right corner of the page to open the members dashboard.

   Scroll down to the "My Trips" section and select your flight. If your flight is already linked to your account, the information will appear here.
   • If you don't see the flight you're looking for, it's usually because you purchased your ticket through a third party (such as at a travel agency).    • If you have an online Lufthansa account, click Lufthansa IDEnter your login information and click Login (Login) to continue.
