Saffron milk, or, as it is called in India, "kesar dudh", is a favorite drink not only of Indians, but also of people all over the world. The traditional method of making saffron milk takes a lot of effort and time, but this recipe allows you to prepare Caesar Dudh quickly and with less effort, and the taste will be the same. Are you ready for a delicious milk drink?
Ingredients
- Condensed milk
- Milk
- Cardamom
- Saffron
Steps
- 1 Take a metal bowl, put 1/2 can of condensed milk in it and pour 1 cup of milk. Place the bowl on the stove over medium heat.
- 2 When the milk starts to boil, reduce the heat.
- Continue stirring the milk and simmer for about 10 minutes (or until the milk has reduced to 3/4 of its original volume).
- 3 Remove milk from heat and add chopped cardamom seeds.
- 4 Then add the saffron.
- 5 Mix well. Make sure the saffron gives its color to the milk. Drink saffron milk hot or cold.
Tips
- Be sure to stir the milk so it doesn't burn to the bottom of the bowl.
- Saffron milk can be drunk hot or cold, but it is best to drink it cold.
- You can add a few slices of chopped cashews or almonds.
