Snapchat is a messaging app for smartphones with which you can use videos and photos to send a message instead of plain text. However, one of the downsides to Snapchat is that you can only watch a video or image for the allotted amount of time, after which it will disappear. But with the latest update, you now have the ability to re-view your media files.

Steps

1. 1 Update Snapchat to version 6.1.0 (or higher). Go to the app store and update the program to the latest version.
2. 2 Launch the app from your phone's home screen.
3. 3 Swipe from left to right to open your inbox.
4. 4 Go to "Settings". Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open the settings.
5. 5 Click on the "Manage" option under the "Advanced" section. Here you will see all the new features coming in the update.
6. 6 Turn on the Repeat function by pressing the switch.
7. 7 View the media file. When you receive a message, press and hold (for videos) or double-click (for images) on the message to view it for the first time.
8. 8 Reopen the message. Open the message again. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm reopening the message. Click on the "Open" button to view the message again.

Tips

• The new replay feature allows you to open one message per 24 hours. This means that if you have about 10 messages in your inbox, you can only reopen one of them in one day.
