Scan the barcode of any product with your iPhone. This is quite simple to do and very useful when shopping. In this wikiHow you can read exactly how to scan a barcode with your iPhone.

To step

1. Open the App Store app:Tap on it Search icon. You will find this icon at the bottom of the screen. Now you come to a screen with a search bar.
2. Type Barcode scanner and tap Search. Enter the search term "Barcode scanner" in the text box at the top of the screen, then tap the blue "Search" button at the bottom of the keyboard.You will now see a list of different apps to scan barcodes.
3. Tap on Install to the right of the barcode scanner. This app has an icon where a barcode is combined with a QR code. Clicking this will install the app on your device. You may have to enter your password or identify yourself with your fingerprint.
   • There are several apps in the App Store. They all do much the same. Popular apps are: ScanLife Barcode & QR Reader, Bakodo Barcode and QR Reader, and Quick Scan Barcode Scanner.
4. Open the barcode scanner. Tap the icon of the app you just installed to open it. The moment you open the app, you will see the screen of your camera.
5. Tap on OK when the app asks for permission to access your camera. Without this permission, the app will not work.
   • All barcode scanners use your iPhone's camera.
6. Point your camera at a barcode. Make sure all details fall within the camera window. Hold your phone tight and move as little as possible.
7. Wait for the scan to finish. Scanning is done automatically when the barcode is properly displayed. After a few seconds, the information is already displayed, such as brand, price and production data.

• Make sure you have an internet connection while scanning.
