• Nail polish remover can corrode through the finish of countertops and furniture. If you work at a table, cover it with a protective liner. It is best to do this on the sink.
• Do not use nail polish remover to remove super glue from sensitive areas like the eyelids and lips.

Peel off the glue after the glue has dissolved. After a few minutes, you should notice the glue turns white and starts to peel off. Now you can start to gently peel the glue off the skin. At this point the glue should come off easily.

• If the glue doesn't come off easily, you can use a nail file to file the glue off. Be careful when using a nail file to avoid accidentally filing a layer of skin. Stop if you start to feel pain.

Method 2 of 2: Try using kitchen and bathroom products

   Wash the affected area with hot water and soap. The super glue can slowly peel off the skin if you wash it with hot water and soap several times. You can use tap water and regular shower soap. Soak the sticky skin in a sink with warm soapy water.
   • Try peeling off the super glue from your skin after you soak it.
   • If the glue doesn't come off the first time, you may need to rinse it a few more times. You may need to try washing your skin with soap and water several times to get rid of the super glue.

   Use oil wax (Vaseline cream). You can apply Vaseline cream to your skin to remove the super glue. This can also help prevent skin damage from contact with the glue. If you don't have Vaseline cream, you can buy it at most pharmacies. Some lip balms also contain oil wax. If you have lip balm, check to see if the product is in the oil wax on the label.
   • Rub Vaseline cream over the sticky skin for a few minutes.
   • The glue will start to come off when you apply the cream. Continue rubbing until all the adhesive is gone.
   • Once you have peeled off the glue, you can wash your hands with soap and water to remove the remaining glue and oil wax.
   • You can also try marmalade. The acids in oranges can remove the glue.

   Try vegetable oil. Apply vegetable oil to a cloth or paper towel and rub it over the sticky skin. The glue should start to peel off your skin within minutes.
   • If you don't have any vegetable oils, you can substitute with almond oil and baby oil.

   Use WD-40 oil. WD-40 is an absorbent oil that can help remove super glue from the skin. If you have this oil available, you can try it out to remove it. Spray the oil on a tissue and hold it against the skin for a few minutes. Take out the tissue and see if it peels off the glue.
   • You can try silicone-based cleaners.

   Use hand lotion. Rub a little hand lotion over your skin. Any kind of lotion will work. Continue rubbing until the super glue starts to come off.
   • Similar to oil wax, hand lotions can also restore moisture to the skin. This will help prevent skin damage caused by exposure to the super glue. If you have dry skin easily then this is the method for you.
