This article will teach you how to accept money on the Square Cash app for Android and iPhone. The Cash app allows you to send or request money to other users using their unique #Cashtag username. When you receive your first payment on the Cash app, you will be asked to link your bank account or credit card. You can deposit your balance from the Cash app using the Cash Out features.

Method 1 of 2: Request a payment

1. Open the Cash app. The Square Cash app has a green icon with a white "$" sign. The first time you open the app, you will have to log in or register.
2. Type an amount of dollars. Use the numeric keypad to type in an amount of dollars. Press . to add an amount of centimes after your dollar amount.
3. Press To request at the bottom right of the screen.
4. Type a recipient in the "To" line. You can use someone's contact name, #Cashtag username or mobile phone number. You can also give the Cash app permission to access your contacts, so that you can choose a recipient between your contacts.
5. Type a message. Use the "Before" line to add a notice to the payment. For example, "Need money for gas!" Or "Money for dinner."
6. Press To request. This is the button in the top right corner. Your payment request will now be sent via text message to your recipient's email or mobile phone.

Method 2 of 2: Have your balance paid out

1. Accept current payments. When someone sends you money for the first time through the Cash app, the payment will be in progress pending your permission. To accept a current payment, do the following:
   • Tap the notification icon at the top right (a small circle with the number of unread notifications).
   • Press "Accept" next to a pending payment.
   • Press "Confirm".
   • Press "Done".
2. Open the Cash app. The Square Cash app has a green icon with a white "$" sign. The first time you open the Cash app, you will have to log in or register.
3. Press the amount of dollars. That's the small number at the top of the app in the middle. This will open the screen with the balance of your account.
4. Press Cash out at the bottom left of the screen.
5. Press Standard or Immediately. By default, it takes a few days for the money to be transferred to your account. In case of immediate, the amount will be forwarded immediately, but there is a small price associated with this.
6. Hit your couch. The first time you transfer money to your bank, you will have to link your bank account. Tap on your bank in the lists that are displayed. Press "Other" if you don't see your bank.
7. Log in to your bank. Use the same credentials you use to log in to your bank online to link your account.
   • You may also need to answer some security questions you previously set up for your bank account.
