The SIM card (mobile subscriber identification module) contains all information about the iPhone. If you want to switch to another mobile device but still keep the current information, you can remove the SIM card from your iPhone and insert it into another phone. This can be done with a special SIM removal tool or sometimes just a paper clip, but the process for each iPhone model will be slightly different.

Steps

Method 1 of 4: Remove SIM iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 6 and 6 Plus

1. 

   Use the correct SIM card. iPhone 4 and 4S use a Micro SIM card. iPhone 5 and 6 use a Nano SIM card.

   Locate the SIM slot. The SIM slot is located in the top right of the handset.

   Use a straightened paper clip or the SIM ejection tool. Insert one end of the paper clip into the hole right next to the SIM slot. Gently poke to remove the tray.
