Method 1 of 10: AT&T and Verizon Users

1. 1 Dial " * 60" from your phone
2. 2 You will hear a recorded step-by-step guide on how to add a number to your list of blocked numbers. Follow this instruction.
3. 3 Listen to instructions on how to turn off call blocking.
4. 4 Hang up your phone.

Method 2 of 10: AT&T Wireless

1. 1 Follow this link: https://www.att.com/olam/passthroughAction.myworld?actionType=ManageFeatures and go to your myAT&T account. This will allow you to subscribe to AT&T's Smart Limits service for wireless users.
   • This service is paid and is paid monthly for each cellular line. It allows you to add up to 30 numbers to your block list.
2. 2Under the Smart Solutions tab, select AT&T Smart Limits for Wireless
3. 3 After choosing this service, you will be guided through a series of requests. Enter correct information to add Smart Limits service to your account.
   • You can also add Smart Limits by calling AT&T Support at 1-800-331-0500 or by visiting your local AT&T office.
4. 4 After adding the Smart Limits service to your account, you can start adding numbers to the block list. To do this, first visit the “Smart Limits for Wireless” page in your myAT & T account.
5. 5 Below the list of corresponding wireless Controls numbers, select the Blocked Numbers tab.
6. 6 In the Add New phone numbers field, enter the three-digit area code and the seven-digit phone number you want to block.
7. 7 To add this number to the block list click "Submit"
   • This will block calls and text messages from the selected number.

Method 3 of 10: Verizon Wireless

1. 1 Follow this link: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/index.html. Register on the site using your phone number and password.
2. 2 Under the Plans and Services option, go to My Verizon> Manage Verizon Safeguards.
3. 3 Click View Details & Edit.
4. 4 Click Add Blocked Contacts.
5. 5 Click Add Blocks.
6. 6 Enter the name, phone number, and number type of the person you want to block.
7. 7 Click Add. You can add up to 20 numbers to your blocked contacts list.

Method 4 of 10: Sprint Wireless

1. 1 Follow this link: http://www.sprint.com/ and log into your My Sprint account.
2. 2 Click on the "My Preferences" tab.
3. 3 In the "Limits and Permissions" section, click on "Block voice".
4. 4 Select the phone to which you want to set blocking numbers. A green check mark displays the selected phone.
5. 5 Select Block only the following phone numbers for inbound and outbound calls. Enter the phone number you want to block in the appropriate field and click “Add number”. You will see that the number has been added to the blocked list, you can also remove it from this list by clicking “Remove”.
6. 6 Click on the green checkmark to indicate that you have completed setting the restriction level.
7. 7 Click “Save”.
8. 8 Turn your phone off and on for the changes to take effect.

Method 5 of 10: National Number Blocking Registry (US Residents)

1. 1 Follow the link below: https://www.donotcall.gov/. You will be redirected to the website of the National Telephone Number Blocking Register. Once you add your number to this list, it will become illegal to call you from TV shops.
2. 2 On the left side of the page, click on the “Register A Phone Number” tab.
3. 3 Enter your phone number and email address, then confirm your email address and click Submit.
   • You can add up to three phone numbers to the register.
4. 4 On the next page, check the information provided for errors and then click Register.
5. 5 Check your mail. You will receive a message from [email protected] with a link. Click on the link to complete the registration.
   • You can also add yourself to the National Phone Number Blocking Registry by phone by following these steps.
     • Call 1-888-382-1222.
       • Be sure to call from the number that you want to add to the registry.
6. 6 Choose language. If you want the instructions to be in English, press "1", if in Spanish, press "2".
   • •  Enter your phone number. You will be asked to enter your three-digit area code and your seven-digit phone number. After a short pause, you will be informed that you have been added to the registry. Be aware that it takes 31 days to complete the registration process completely.

Method 6 of 10: National Number Blocking Registry (For Canadian Residents)

1. 1 Follow the link below: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng. This will take you to the National Phone Blocking Registry of Canada. Once you add your number to this list, it will be illegal to call you from TV shops.
2. 2 On the left side of the page, under the “I am a Consumer” section, click on the “Register My Number” button.
3. 3 At the bottom of the page, enter the three-digit area code and seven-digit phone number you want to list. Click “Continue”.
   • You can add a landline phone number, a mobile phone number, a fax number, or an IP-telephony number to the register.
4. 4 On the next page, confirm that the entered number is correct. Then enter the characters that appear in the Characters field. If you cannot read the characters that appear, click “Too difficult? Try another ”to generate a different set of characters. If you entered the wrong phone number, click Change Number and enter the correct one. Click Register.
5. 5 On the next page, you can read important information regarding the National Number Blocking Register.
6. 6 On the next page, your registration will be confirmed. If you want to add another number, click on the “Register Another Number” button.

Method 7 of 10: Number Blocking Registry (Australian Residents)

1. 1 Follow the link below: https://www.donotcall.gov.au/. This will take you to the Australia National Phone Number Blocking Registry website. Once you add your number to this list, it will be illegal to call you from TV shops.
2. 2 In the middle of the page, click on the "Online Registration" button.
3. 3 On the start page, confirm that you are the owner of this account or that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner. Select the appropriate radio button (include your phone number, family or friend number, etc.) and click “Continue”.
4. 4 Enter your first name, last name, email address and confirmation email address. Click Next.
5. 5 Enter the phone number you want to register. You can enter up to 20 numbers. Check the box next to the number field if you are entering a fax or telephone / fax number. Click Next.
6. 6 On the Confirm Details page, check the box next to “I have read and agree with these statements”. Then enter the characters that appear in the box at the bottom of the page. Click Submit.
7. 7 Check your mail. Open the letter you received from the National Number Blocking Registry. Click on the link in the email to complete the registration process.

Method 8 of 10: Telephony Customization Service (UK Residents)

1. 1 Follow the link below: http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html. This will take you to the Telephone Setup Services website. Once you add your number to this list, it will become illegal to call you from TV shops.
2. 2 On the left side of the page, click on the Register button.
3. 3 Select the option that matches the telephone number you want to register (Landline telephone). Click “Continue”.
4. 4 Enter the desired phone number. Click “Continue”.
5. 5 Enter the postal code of the address that you want to register and click "Continue".
6. 6 Follow the steps to complete the registration process.

Method 9 of 10: Number Blocking List (for New Zealanders)

1. 1 Follow this link: http://www.marketing.org.nz/Category;jsessionid=F9422F65665723D24A14E5335F47518A?Action=View&Category_id=256. This will allow you to register with the name removal service.
   • Note: New Zealand Name Removal Service is operated by the New Zealand Marketing Association and not administered by the government. This will only allow you to block numbers from TV shops that are members of the marketing association.
2. 2Click on the link called "Click here to add yourself to the Do Not Call List"
3. 3 Enter your first name, last name, phone number and postal code in the appropriate field. At the bottom of the page, check the box next to “I Agree” and click the “Save” button.

Method 10 of 10: iOS7

1. 1 After clicking on the contact you want to block, scroll down to the words "Block number".
