Don't remember the specifications of your video card? Or are you interested in knowing what characteristics to use for a new video card? This article will show you how to find out the specifications of your graphics card. Note: the article is intended for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 systems.
Steps
1 Click Start.
2 Click "Run". If the Run button is not on the Start menu, click Start and type Run (without the quotes) in the search bar. In the search results, left-click on "Run".
3 A new window will open.
4 In this window, enter DxDiag and press Enter (or click OK).
5 The DirectX Diagnostic window will open.
6 Go to the "Display" tab.
7 In the "Device" section, you will find the specifications of your video card.
Tips
- On the Internet, you can download and install programs that will indicate the characteristics of your video card.
Warnings
- Do not change the settings in the DirectX Diagnostics window. This can lead to undesirable consequences.
