By default, Siri (Siri) calls you by name. However, you can tell Siri your nickname or set your name manually. You can also fix the way Siri pronounces your name.

Method 1 of 2: Change the name Siri calls you

1. 1 Customize your personal contact information. Siri will call you the way you specified in your personal contact. This information may not be configured - you can always add an entry or change an existing one in the settings.
   • Open Settings and select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
   • Scroll down to My Info.
   • Choose your personal contact or create one if you don't already have one.
2. 2 Change your personal contact information to change the name Siri uses to contact you. By default, Siri calls you by your name in your Personal Contact file. Change your personal contact information and Siri will call you differently.
   • Open the Contacts app.
   • Select your contact and then Edit.
   • Change the name as you would like Siri to call you.
3. 3 Ask Siri to call you by your nickname. If you want, you can have Siri call you by a different name.
   • Open Siri by pressing and holding the Home button.
   • Say in English: "From now on, call me ..." - at the end of the phrase, say your new name or nickname. Siri will confirm your new name. This operation will change the entry in the "Nickname" field in your personal contacts.

Method 2 of 2: Change Siri Pronunciation

1. 1 Open Contacts. If Siri is pronouncing your name (or someone on your contact list) incorrectly, you can change the pronunciation.
2. 2 Tap the contact whose name you want to correct pronunciation. This can be anyone on your contact list, including yourself.
3. 3 Click the Edit button. This will change the contact information.
4. 4 Scroll down and click add field. This will allow you to select a new field to add to the selected contact.
5. 5 Select Phonetic First Name. You can use this field to change the pronunciation for the contact's name. You can also select Phonetic Middle Name or Phonetic Last Name if you want to change the pronunciation of your middle or last name, respectively.
6. 6 Enter the phonetic notation of the name. Write the name so Siri can pronounce it correctly. For example, the phonetic notation for the name "Margot" would be "Margoh".

Warnings

• Better to say the phrase “From now on ...” before asking Siri to call you by another name.Otherwise, she may not understand the request, thinking that you want to call someone from your contact list.
