CC cream, or color control cream, is a light makeup product that can be used in place of foundation or as a primer. CC cream helps to hide imperfections such as redness or age spots, and also protects the skin from sun exposure and reduces inflammation, fine lines and age spots. It is easy to apply with only your fingers or a makeup brush.

Method 1 of 2: How to use CC cream

1. 1 Cleanse, apply toner and moisturize your skin. CC cream should be applied to clean skin. Wash your face with your favorite facial cleanser and gently pat dry.Then apply the toner with a cotton pad if you have oily skin. If you have dry skin, gently apply moisturizer.
2. 2 Apply CC Cream in small dots all over the face. Squeeze a small amount of CC Cream onto your finger. If you want to use the product all over your face, place one dot of the cream on your forehead, one on your nose, one on your chin, and one on each cheek. Or place one point of the cream on the areas where you want to create coverage: for example, on the wings of the nose or around pimples.
3. 3 Blend the cream with a makeup brush or clean fingers. You can apply CC Cream in any way you like: with your fingers or with a brush. Use a patting motion to spread the cream over your face, but do not rub it in, otherwise it may irritate your skin. If you prefer to use a brush, use short, sliding strokes to blend the cream over the face, from the center outward.
   • Wash your hands thoroughly to remove dirt, germs, and sebum if using your fingers to apply the cream.
   • Likewise, if you are using a brush, rinse it every week.
4. 4 Add more cream to problem areas if desired. If you need to cover inflammation more thoroughly, you can apply CC cream in several layers. Just add another small dot on the problem area (for example, dark circles under the eyes). Blend with the rest of the cream for an even complexion.
   • If you apply an extra layer of cream, the result will be better than if you just apply a large amount of the product at the same time.

4. 4 Determine the desired coverage density. Some CC creams are like tinted moisturizers, while others create a thicker coverage, like foundation. If a thicker finish is required, use a thicker, opaque product. If you prefer minimal coverage, choose a translucent cream with a light texture.
