This article shows you how to remove app icons from Android phone's home screen. With most Android phones, you can remove individual app icons from the home screen. You can also turn off the function of automatically adding icons to the home screen to prevent unwanted icons from appearing in the future.

Method 1 of 5: On Android devices

Advice

• If you use a home screen launcher that is different from your phone / tablet's default, you will have to turn off the launcher before you can move or hide the app icons.

Warning

• Removing the app icon is not possible on some versions of Android OS.
