This article shows you how to restore your login to your Yahoo account using a different email address or recovery phone number. If you don't have a recovery email or phone number associated with your Yahoo account, you won't be able to recover your account.

Steps

1. 

   Access https://login.yahoo.com/forgot using a web browser. This website will help you restore your Yahoo account by sending a confirmation code to your email address or recovery phone number.
   • You must have access to your email address or phone number to restore your account. If you can't access those accounts, you can talk to a Yahoo support team staff for a fee. To do this, you need to visit https://help.yahoo.com/kb/account and click Speak with a live agent near the top-right corner of the page.
   • If you haven't signed in to your account for more than 12 months, your account may have been permanently deleted from Yahoo's servers.

   • If you are confirming a phone number, you may be asked to enter the missing two numbers to confirm that it is your number. If asked, enter the correct numbers in the blue underlined field and click Submit (To send).

   Look for the confirmation code in the Yahoo mail. If you chose email to recover, you need to open your inbox, then open Yahoo mail. If you entered a phone number, you will receive a text message containing the code.
   • If you don't see a Yahoo message in your email inbox, it's probably in a folder Spam or Junk.
