Fleas are harmful organisms that can reproduce extremely quickly if not treated properly. However, most of the drugs that kill fleas and their larvae are very expensive. Another fact is that we love and want to raise pets but we have to deal with the problem of fleas. So, if your pet (dog or cat) has fleas, you can use dish soap to solve the problem quickly.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: For dogs

1. 

   Choose the right dishwashing liquid. For dogs and pets that are safe to bathe in, you can use Dawn dish soap. The reason to use Dawn dish soap is because this brand can effectively kill fleas while others do not. In addition, Dawn dish soap is also very safe for pets.

   Prepare a bath. Next, just prepare a warm (not hot) bath for your pet. Fill up with enough water, then put the dog in the tub or use a tap outside if necessary.

   Soak your pet in the tub. Use a detachable shower, cup or hose / hose to wet your pet and be careful not to get water in your eyes to avoid irritation.

   Apply dish soap. Apply plenty of Dawn dish soap to clean your pets. You will need to rub the soap on the pet for several minutes, depending on the severity of the flea. Method 2 of 2: For cats

1. 

   For pets that cannot bathe, such as cats, you can mix 2-3 teaspoons of dish soap into a bowl. Add more water until it is more than half full.Mix well with a spoon or fork until it is foamy.

   You need a "flea comb". You can spend a little money on a flea comb at a pet store or grocery store. This is a small comb specifically used to brush on the bristles and catch fleas mixed in the hair.

   Brush your pets. Brush the pet's fur with a brush, then submerge the fleas in the dishwashing liquid. Fleas will die immediately. This can take time, but it is extremely effective.

Advice

• Fleas will run to the pet's head and face when you start to wet the fur, so it's best to wet the neck first, then the rest of the body. This can create a barrier and prevent the flea from getting into the pet's face and ears.
• If you see a lot of fleas within a few days of showering, simply repeat the above procedure every few days (nothing else is required), then use a flea killer to fix the problem.
• It is best to have a handkerchief or a tissue ready to catch the fleas from the comb. You can use a towel to put the fleas down in the dishwashing liquid.
  • Scrub deeply into the fur, but do not overdo it. Whine by your pets proving that you brush too hard.
• You should handle fleas in the house and in the yard at the same time as your pet to prevent reinfection of pets.
• You can use a flea cream after handling your pets in the bath to kill any remaining fleas and prevent them from producing more fleas.
• Mix half a bowl of water with half a bowl of dish soap, then place the bowl on the floor and leave overnight. Fleas will be attracted to the soap, jump into a bowl and die immediately.
• If you have a topical medication for your pet, do not use it directly after bathing. Most topical treatments work well with the oil and dirt that pets release to fight fleas. As a result, you should wait at least 36-72 hours (1.5-3 days) to apply the medication to your pet's fur.

Warning

• Be careful when washing around pets' eyes. If soapy water gets into the pet's eyes, wash them with cool water and dry them with a towel.
• Make sure not to use water that is too warm or too cold.
