Instagram is a great way to share memorable moments with friends, family or random followers.If you are posting a lot of photos but not getting as many likes as you want, follow these steps to gain more likes.

Method 1 of 7: Use Hashtags
Hashtags are a simple way to categorize your photos with keywords. Hashtags help your photos be viewed and enjoyed by more people. Using multiple hashtags increases the likelihood of your photos being viewed and shared.
Use as many hashtags as possible per photo. For example, if you have a photo of Wiener dogs, you could use the hashtags # wienerdog, #dog, and #pet.
Use the most common hashtags. Some popular hashtags are # love, #me, #cute, #friday and #coffee.
Search a list of trending hashtags and use one of them. Keep in mind that using popular hashtags means your photo will easily slide downwards.- You can add hashtags #likeforlike or # like4like and like lots of pictures. Not everyone likes your photo again, but at least you will get a few likes.
Method 2 of 7: Add Filters
Add filters to photos. This means using an app to edit and add filters to photos. Early-bird, X-Proll, Aviary, and Valencia are common filters that make a photo unique.

Method 3 of 7: Search for Images People Want to See
Post photos accurately. Normally people would post anything, like their lunch, their cat, or an empty beer bottle. However, if you want lots of likes, you have to turn Instagram into an art gallery. The purpose of this is to post the best, best quality photos that get more likes on Instagram. The following types of photos can appeal to many people:
- Never post 3 similar pictures in a row. Choose the best shot.
Post the best photo taken with family and friends.
Post a photo with a unique perspective. People love unique things that they've never seen before.
Post photos of your pet. The best photo of your puppy or kitten will definitely be loved. Make sure your pet is doing something funny in the photo.
Don't post too many food photos. Everyone does this, so just post beautiful pictures.
Merge multiple photos together using an app like Diptic. This way, you will have a chance to get more likes. You can stitch 4 similar photos into one frame. Or combine different phases of a trip into one photo. advertisement
Method 4 of 7: Demonstrating Community
Be an active member of the Instagram community to get likes and comments. If you like and comment on other people's photos, others will too. If you never see pictures of your followers, others won't.

Post photos at the right time. You can post the greatest photo in the world, but no one likes it if you post it at midnight. Your photos will get the most responses in the first few hours, so be careful. Here are a few times when you should post photos:
- Post photos in the middle of the day, when people are bored with work and surfing the web. Don't post pictures early in the morning, at 5 or 6 o'clock, because most people are too busy by that time to notice your pictures.
- Post a photo after dinner. People will surf the web when they finish dinner.
- Post photos on special occasions. Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day are the right times to post photos. While some people may be busy celebrating the holidays, they are more likely to watch and like them.
Do not post photos on Friday and Saturday nights. People can see the photo, but they don't want to admit that they have nothing to do but surf Instagram.

Get the app. See user reviews and decide which apps are most reliable. Once you've selected an app, download it.
Log into your Instagram account.

- Be sensitive to hashtags. Don't use hashtags when writing comments. Add only related hashtags. Beware of the hashtag #lfl (like for like) because they may not like your photo again.
- If people like your pictures, 'like' their pictures. This reciprocal action helps the online social network thrive. If you don't interact, they won't care about you.
- Don't overdo hashtags. You can use the hashtag #instacool, but don't use it in every image.
- Instead of using a filter, get an editing app to fix the photo before posting.
- Follow people who like your photos.
- Make your followers happy by running contests. Be careful not to participate in any superficial contests like exclusion games that hurt the ego of others.
- If you post a photo without hashtags, you can add hashtags in the comments.
- Post a photo around 7-8 p.m., when the most active users are.
- Follow people with the same interests / with friends. This will increase your chances of getting more likes because your followers also like what you post.

- Don't defame others, because followers can see and unfollow you.
- Do not post inappropriate images.
