Paper pulp can be a useful part of making homemade paper or other crafts. It's also quite easy to make. As long as you have paper, water, and a whisk or blender, you can make as much paper pulp as you want at home. If you need to make paper pulp for a specific project, plan to mix it at least one or two days in advance so it has time to soak and dry.

Part 1 of 3: Soak paper

1. Let the paper soak overnight. Place the bowl where it can stand undisturbed for about 8 to 12 hours or overnight. If you need to make the paper pulp for a specific date, schedule it so that you have enough time to soak the torn pieces.
   • When using a blender, you don't have to soak the paper overnight. It nevertheless gives the pulp a softer consistency.

Part 2 of 3: Puree paper to a pulp

1. Let the paper pulp dry for about 24 hours. Paper pulp normally takes a day to dry, although thicker pieces of paper can take longer. After a day, check that the paper is dry. When it is dry and does not fall apart, it is ready to use.
