Tips

  • If the slime doesn't glow as much, just leave it in a well-lit room for 15 minutes or more.
  • To give the slime a brighter color, add several drops of food coloring. Be aware that food coloring can make the mucus less bright.
  • Mucus usually lasts for about two weeks. After that, it may start to smell and begin to fall apart.
  • If you want to dispose of the slime, simply put it in a resealable plastic bag and throw it in the trash.
  • You can make slime as a science experiment to teach your kids how different chemical reactions work. Here and here you can read more about chemical reactions in slime.
  • Try using slime for creative luminous craft projects. A large number of ideas can be found on the internet for inspiration. Give this list of ideas from Buzzfeed a try.
  • Slime is also fun to give to all guests at the end of a children's party or to give as a Halloween gift.
