1 Cut a long strip of paper. Cut the strip to the desired length; the longer the segment is, the more paper people will be in the chain. For maximum precision, try folding the paper and cutting the strips along the resulting folds. By using the ruler, the bandwidth will be as accurate as possible.

2 Fold the paper with an accordion and get a rectangle. Make the folds as straight as possible.

3 Draw the outline of the little man in the center of the rectangle. You can draw it by hand or with a stencil. Draw in clear lines a man with arms, legs and a head.

4 Cut out the little man. While cutting, you can correct any imperfections in the pattern. Cut very carefully so as not to break the chain.

5 When unfolding the lane slowly, you should end up with a chain of people holding hands.

Make sure you do everything exactly according to our instructions. You can use a ruler to draw a dividing line in the middle of the rectangle or use a stencil.
- The drawing will be the main difference in this kind of chain. This way you will be able to show your imagination and get more than one person in the chain.
4 Draw another man on the opposite side of the rectangle. The second man may look completely different. Try drawing a girl in a dress. Half of her head and torso should be on the opposite edge of the rectangle. Her arm ends in the middle of the rectangle and is extended towards the other man's arm. Hands should touch each other.
- You can play with the place where the hands meet. The hands can hold various shapes, such as a heart, a star, a small child, and so on.
5 Cut out the shapes. When cutting out figures of men, their hands should remain closed.
6 When unrolling the chain, you should get boys and girls holding hands. The chain should be alternating: boy-girl, boy-girl.
- This method allows you to combine different shapes and use the space on the rectangle correctly. You will receive your unusual chain only if the drawn figures are in contact with your hands.

Method 3 of 3: Create a circular chain

1 Draw and cut out a large circle in the center of the paper. Place the cup, rim down, in the center of the paper. Trace around it with a pencil and cut out the circle as neatly as possible.
- The larger the circle, the better. The end result should be a wreath of men.
2 Fold the circle in half four times. You need to create a symmetrical isosceles triangle with a rounded short side. It should remind you of a slice of pizza.
3 Draw one or more people in the center of the triangle. You can draw two people at the edges of the triangle holding hands, or one person in the center of the triangle with arms outstretched.
4 Cut out the little man. While cutting, you can correct any imperfections in the pattern. Cut very carefully to avoid damaging the chain.
5 Unfold the paper. You should have a circle of people holding hands.
6 Decorate the circle. The advantage is that such a chain can stand on its own without props. Such a circle is perfect as a Christmas decoration, as it not only resembles a wreath, but also a small tree, if placed. With just a little creative inspiration, you can create beautiful human chains for any occasion.

Tips

The number of men in the chain depends on the length of the ribbon. The longer it is, the more people you will get.
This chain should not be thrown away after use as it may come in handy for your child's birthday party.

Warnings

Do not cut the people completely along the contour. Leave at least 1 inch (0.64 cm) for the little men to stay attached to each other. Otherwise, you end up with a lot of individual people instead of a chain.
If your child is doing this on their own, make sure they are using safe scissors. After all, he can easily cut himself with ordinary scissors.
