• What do you need

1 Start sketching by drawing two circles side by side.

2 Add a triangle with the pointed end down to the sketch.

3 Start tracing the heart with the outer connecting line, starting at the left half.

4 Draw an identical line to the right.

5 Erase construction lines.

6 Color in the blank.

7 Add highlights and shadows.

8 Color in the background.

Method 2 of 2: Heart Pierced by an Arrow

1. 1 Start sketching by drawing a circle.
2. 2 Draw another smaller circle that intersects with the previous one.
3. 3 Draw a triangle in perspective, pointed downward.
4. 4 Circle one half of the heart.
5. 5 Circle the other half of the heart.
6. 6 Erase the guide lines, sketch the arrow. Always draw the arrow with a slight tilt. This makes the drawing look more beautiful and livelier than if you just draw a straight horizontal or vertical line. It should be seen that both halves of the heart are pierced with an arrow of love.
7. 7 Draw two curved lines that capture the middle section of the arrow.
8. 8 Begin tracing the visible arrow shaft lines.
9. 9 Trace the arrowhead.
10. 10 Trace the boom feathers.
11. 11 Color the blank with the primary colors.
12. 12 Add highlights and shadows, paint the background.
