In this article, you will learn how to delete an email account from your iPhone. If you delete an email account, you will also delete all information related to this account in Contacts, Mail, Notes, and Calendar if you have synchronized it with your email account.

To step

1. Open Settings Scroll down and tap Accounts and Passwords. That's roughly in the middle of the Settings page.
2. Select an account. From the Accounts page, tap the email account (ex. Gmail) that you want to remove from your iPhone.
3. Scroll down and tap Delete account. That's the red button at the bottom of the page.
4. Tap on Delete from iPhone when that shows up. Doing so will delete the email account from your phone, along with all information associated with the account.

Tips

• If you just want to delete the email account from your Mail app on your iPhone, you can also tap the green slider next to "Mail" in the center of the Accounts page to deactivate the account.

Warnings

• All contacts, notes, emails and calendar events that were synced with the email account are also immediately deleted from your iPhone.
