Method 1 of 2: With Finder

1. Click the Finder icon in your dock. You can recognize Finder by the square icon with a smiley in two shades of blue.
   • You can also open Finder by clicking on your desktop.
2. click on Go in the menu bar. This is at the top of the screen.
3. click on Utilities.
   • You can also use the key combination ⇧ Shift+⌘+YOU use.
4. Scroll down and double click Terminal in the "Tools" window. Now a Terminal window will open.

Method 2 of 2: With Spotlight

1. Click on the Spotlight icon. That's the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the screen.
   • You can also press ⌘+space.
2. Start typing terminal in the search box. Continue typing until you see the Terminal icon appear.
3. Double click on Terminal. A Terminal window will now open.
