If you are an eBay seller, you may need to remove an item from the list of items for sale if, for example, it broke or was sold, or you made a mistake while checking out the item on the site. You can perform this operation at any time through your eBay account.

Steps

1. 1 Log into your eBay account.
2. 2 Click on “My eBay” and select “Selling.”
3. 3 Navigate to the item or list you want to remove.

   • If someone has already left a request for this product, go to step # 5; if not, go to step # 6.
5. 5 Choose a possible option: if there are less than 12 hours left until the end of the auction, you will receive the item at the highest offered price; if there is more than 12 hours left until the end of the auction, you can delete all bids for an item, and then the item itself from the sales list.
6. 6 Choose the reason that best describes your situation. For example, if your product is broken or defective, select “item is broken” as the reason for removing the product from the list.
7. 7 Click on “End my listing.” Your item will be officially removed from the sales list and will never be sold like this on eBay again.

Tips

• Double check the details of the ad you intend to post on eBay, as well as the items you intend to sell, for performance. This habit will prevent most of the mistakes due to which you will have to remove the product from the sales list.
• Explain the situation to your customers in full before you remove the item from the sales list. In most cases, buyers can cancel their bids, so they are less likely to have a bad opinion of you as a seller.

Warnings

• If there are 12 hours or less left until the end of the auction, eBay will charge you a fine. It will be equal to the highest price at which you have to sell the product.
