With a little practice, we will be able to draw the eyes of a Japanese cartoon or manga character. You can apply it at any time and this will help the cartoon characters look more real.

Steps

1. 

   Draw a small curve for the upper part of the eye and add the lashes. Then draw another curve to make the lower part of the eye.
   • The upper lids are usually thicker than the lower lids.

   Join the original two curves with two other curves on the left and right. Remember to leave space when drawing curved lines.

   Draw a small semicircle on the top. This is the highlight showing where light is reflected.

   Draw a smaller circle on the bottom opposite side. This is another highlight of the eye.

5. 

   Add pupil. Draw a large black circle as the pupil, add some shadow and color, and you're done! advertisement

Warning

• Always start with light, light brush strokes. Do not draw lines that are too bold as it will be difficult to erase when needed.
