Has your boss added a calendar to your iCloud that you don't need? Or was the calendar installed along with recently downloaded apps and now annoying pop-ups appear on your iPhone? If you delete the calendar, you will receive only the notifications that you need.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Delete the calendar in the app

1. 1 Launch the Calendar application on your device. On the phone, this app looks like a small rounded square with the date and day of the week. The background of the icon is white. The app is called "Calendar".
2. 2 Click on your personal calendar. When the app starts, you can find your personal calendars. Do this by looking at the bottom of the screen. Between Today and Inbox you will see a red Calendars button. Click on it.
3. 3 Choose your personal calendar. When you load the calendars, you will see a red edit button on the left side of the screen. Click on it to enter the calendar settings. On the settings screen, you can select the calendar you want to delete. To select a calendar, click on it once.
4. 4 Delete the calendar. After selecting the calendar to delete, scroll down the screen. Here, in the center of the screen, you will see a red button titled "Delete Calendar". Click on it to delete the calendar.
   • If there is no “Delete Calendar” button, try deleting the calendar in personal settings.

Part 2 of 2: Troubleshoot iOS 8 Issues

1. 1 If your device is running iOS 8, use the "Settings" option. On devices with iOS 8, calendars can only be hidden in the app, but they can only be deleted from the settings screen.
2. 2 Click on "Mail, Addresses, Calendars". When you open the settings page, scroll down and find the blue square icon with an envelope. Clicking on it should bring up a new screen.
3. 3 Scroll down to the Calendars section and find the calendar you want to delete. The Calendars section is at the bottom of the Mail, Addresses, Calendars window. Find the calendar you want to remove and click "Remove Account".

Tips

• You can also change the description or title of the note and / or remove the attached alarm / reminder.
• By logging into your calendar account, you can make it inactive and leave it in case you need it.

Warnings

• If you delete the calendar, you won't be able to get it back. Do not delete the calendar if you are not absolutely sure that you really want it.
