This article will show you how to delete your Snapchat story from your profile so that other users cannot see it.
Steps
- 1 Launch the Snapchat app. The app icon looks like a white ghost on a yellow background.
- If you are not automatically logged into your profile, log in by entering your username (or email address) and password.
- 2 When you're on the camera screen, swipe left. This will take you to the Stories page.
- 3 Press the ⋮ button. It's in the upper right corner of the screen, to the right of My Stories.
- 4 Click on the snapshot you want to delete. Click on a snapshot to open it.
- 5 Click on the trash can icon. It's at the bottom of the screen.
- 6 Click on the Delete button. The selected snapshot will be removed from your story!
- If your story has multiple images, click the trash can icon for each image.
Tips
- Change the setting of who can view your story by selecting the "Show my story" option and then "User preferences" under the "Who can" section.
- Sometimes it's better to send pictures to a large group of friends than to a story.
- While other people's stories cannot be removed from your news feed, they can be blocked, which will ultimately have the same result.
Warnings
- Think about what to post in your story. Within 24 hours, other users can take a screenshot of it.
