Today WikiHow teaches you how to change the display name in your comments as well as the name of your YouTube channel. You can change your name three times before Google temporarily restricts your name change. Changing your username means changing the name displayed on any Google service, such as Gmail or Google+.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On the phone

1.

   Enter your first and last name in the "Last" and "First" boxes, respectively.
   • If you want your name to appear as a phrase (for example, "Coffee Dang"), you may need to type the first word in the "First" box and the rest in the "Last" box.
   • If you are renaming a channel, Youtube will not show the "Last" part, only the "Name" section for you to enter.

   Click the button OK at the bottom of the name change window.

   Click next CHANGE NAME good CHANGE NAME when the confirmation dialog appears. So your account name (or Youtube channel name) has been changed. advertisement

Advice

• If you don't have a Youtube channel, changing the username on your Google+ account will make your channel name named after that Google+ account.

Warning

• You cannot reuse classic username on Youtube.
