In this article, you will learn how to make text bold in the computer version of Telegram.

Steps

1. 1 Open up Telegram Web in your computer's web browser. In the address bar of your browser, enter web.telegram.org, and then on your keyboard, press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return.
   • If you haven't logged in yet, enter your phone number and then enter the verification code.
   • You can also install and use the computer version of Telegram.
2. 2 Click on the chat on the left pane of the page. In your chat list, find the contact or group you want to send a message to. The selected conversation will open in the right pane.
3. 3 Enter your message text in the provided field. This field is at the bottom of the chat window.
4. 4 Enter two asterisks ( *) before and after the text. Asterisks will not appear in the sent message and the text will be bold.
   • Before sending, the message text should look like this: **text**.
5. 5 Click on Send (Send). This blue button is located in the lower-right corner of the message window. The message will be sent and the text between the asterisks will become bold.
   • Asterisks are not displayed in the sent message.

Tips

• You can also make the text italic - to do this, enter two underscores (_) before and after the text. Before sending the message text should look like this: __text__.
