Method 1 of 2: Hold a guitar (seated)
Loop your guitar cable through the strap before plugging it in. When you plug in your guitar cable, a handy trick is to loop your guitar cable through the band to keep it out of the way. Insert the cable between the base hook and the strap, from the back to the front of the guitar, then connect them. - This is especially useful if you plug in the plug at the bottom of the guitar that can come loose over time. This way you can make sure that the cable does not slip off and fall to the floor.
