Do you have goosebumps thinking about making a ghost costume? Don't be afraid to make your own costume. All you need is a few simple items and a friend's help. After following these simple instructions, you will be able to put on your brand new ghost costume in a few minutes.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Making a Traditional Ghost Costume

1. 1 Cut off the visor on the light-colored baseball cap. If you do not want to do this, you can simply dress it with the reverse side.
   • The cap should be as light as possible, otherwise it will be visible through the sheet.
2. 2 Place the sheet over the head of the person who will be wearing the ghost costume. If it hangs too much to the floor, mark where you want to cut the sheet.
   • To create the effect of flight, the suit should stretch a little on the ground, but do not overdo it with the long one so that the person does not stumble.
3. 3 Mark the center of the head with a black marker.
4. 4 Make marks for future eye slits. Let the person under the sheet poke his fingers in the place where his eyes are, put small dots there.
5. 5 Remove the sheet and attach it to the baseball cap. Attach the sheet to the mark with which you marked the center of the head.
   • Attach the sheet with 3-4 pins around the edges of the baseball cap.

6. 6 Cut holes for the eyes. Make this where you put the marks and trace around them with a black felt-tip pen. The holes should be at least twice the size of the human eyes.
7. 7 Draw the mouth and nose. Use a marker to draw the nose and mouth. You can cut holes in the places where the person's nose and mouth are to make it easier for him to breathe.
8. 8 If the sheet was too long, cut it off. If you have marked where you can cut the sheet, cut it along this line.

Method 2 of 2: Making the Ghost Costume More Complex

1. 1 Place a sheet over the head of the person who will be wearing the ghost costume.
2. 2 Draw a circle around the person's neck.
3. 3 Mark the area above the elbows.
4. 4 Mark the area under the ankles.
5. 5 Remove the sheet.
6. 6 Cut out the circle you have drawn around the person's neck. When you cut it out, you can make the circle a little larger so that the person's head can fit in there.
7. 7 Cut openings for the arms where you marked the area above the elbows.
8. 8 Cut along the ankle line. For a ripped effect, jag the fabric.
9. 9 Take the remaining scraps of fabric in the shape of triangular notches and glue them all over the costume. Use fabric glue to do this. This will create a ghost effect.
10. 10 The person who will be wearing this costume must wear a white long-sleeved shirt. You can also glue the fabric in the shape of frayed triangles to the shirt so that it hangs like icicles.
11. 11 Put the sheet on the person. He should easily stick his head and hands through the holes.
12. 12 Apply white makeup to your face. Cover the entire face, including eyebrows and lips.
    • The neck can also be painted over with white.
13. 13 Draw gray circles on the eyelids and under the eyes. You can paint on your lips or leave them white.

Tips

• To make you look even more ghostly, paint your nails with black or white nail polish and wear white shoes.
• You need light colored shoes to achieve a more believable effect.
• The sheet ghost costume is a classic, but remember that it is inconvenient to communicate in it. It's a great costume for Halloween, but if you're going to a party, paint your face and throw a sheet over your shoulders.
