What do you need

1 Part your hair in the middle and then in two. Braid one side while you work on the other so they don't get messed up.

2 Take the loose side and start at the very back of your head, dividing it into three strands.

3 Make a French or Dutch braid "inside out", crossing the strands under each other, not across them. Continue braiding all over the side of your head, keeping the braid tight enough.

4 Braid across the top of your forehead until you finish the braid and tie it with an elastic band. Let it just hang for now, until the second side is done.

5 On the opposite side, you start at the top of your head, not the bottom. Divide your hair into three sections and braid the same inside out as on the other side, but braid on the other side, ending at the back of the head.

6 Tie each braid with a rubber band, you can secure them with invisibility so they stay in place, and hide them under each braid so that they are not visible. The hairstyle should look like a crown of braids that rings around your head. Finish off with a little hairspray.

7 Ready.

Tips

It can be difficult to do this on your own, so it might be a good idea to ask a friend to help you.
Some people like to decorate the braid with flowers or clips - whatever suits you!
If you have curly hair, it will be better to do this hairstyle on damp hair, as it will be smoother and easier to handle. Alternatively, you can straighten your hair, but hot styling can damage your hair.
With long hair, you can make one continuous braid instead of two. Start behind the ear and braid around the head, ending as usual.
It's also best to shower and straighten your hair before braiding. This way you don't have to worry about messy tangled hair afterwards.
