This article will show you how to back up your phone camera photos to your Snapchat account. This can be done on both Android and iPhone devices, as you only need a dedicated Snapchat folder in the Gallery app on your phone or tablet. If you don't already have a Snapchat folder on your phone or tablet, create one by saving the photo to your camera roll.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Create a Snapchat folder on your phone or tablet

1. 1 Open Snapchat. Tap the yellow ghost icon in the Android app drawer or on the iPhone / iPad desktop.
2. 2 Scroll down to the Memories page below the shutter button. Here you will see all the stories saved in Memories.
   • On some phones or tablets, instead of flipping through a page, simply touching an icon that looks like two intersecting photos to open the Memories page.
3. 3 Select the memory you want to keep.
4. 4 Tap ⁝ in the upper right corner to take a photo.
5. 5 Please select Export from the pop-up menu. This will give you the ability to export the snapshot to any application.
6. 6 Tap camera roll or Save Image. The name of this option may differ depending on the phone or tablet model. The snapshot will be sent to a special folder on your phone or to your tablet's camera roll linked to Snapchat.

Part 2 of 2: Sync Snapchat Photos from Camera Roll

1. 1 Open Snapchat. The app icon looks like a white ghost on a yellow background.
   • If you're still in the Memories section, press the Back button until you return to the main Snapchat screen.
2. 2 Tap your profile photo in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. 3 Tap the icon in the upper right corner of the profile picture page.
4. 4 Scroll down and select Memories from the My Account tab on the Settings page.
5. 5 Please select Import pictures from Camera Roll.
   • It is imperative that you create a Snapchat folder in your camera roll prior to this step, because when you select this option, the photos will not be saved unless there is a Snapchat folder on your phone or tablet.
6. 6 Select the photos from your camera roll that you want to copy to your Snapchat account. If you'd like to add all the photos from your camera roll to Snapchat, tap the red “Select All” option at the top of the page.
7. 7 Tap Import [number] pictures. It's a red button below Photos that syncs the selected photos to your Snapchat account.
