  4. 4 Remember two words. Put them together and make it funny, crazy, foolish and bizarre. (The funnier and more unusual the combination of two words, the more likely you are to memorize them, which is great for student learners.)

  9. 9 Reading helps expand your vocabulary and understanding of the meanings of words. The ability to express your thoughts in the correct words prevents colossal misunderstandings in the various meanings of terms and easily avoids confusion.
  10. 10 Communicate. Having lengthy discussions that go beyond small talk can help you understand people better. Other side benefits include getting more familiar with the people you are talking to and making connections.
