Instead of copying and pasting photos or videos into an email message or sharing them via the Camera Roll, speed up the process with the Message Attachment feature on your iPhone or iPad.

Steps

  1. 1 Click on the letter icon on the home screen of your device to launch the Mail application.
  2. 2 Click the New Message button (square with a pencil inside) that appears at the top of the interface on iPad or in the lower-right corner on iPhone.
  3. 3 Fill in the Recipient and Subject fields and click once in the message window. In the menu that appears, click on Insert photo or video.
  4. 4 The photo application will appear. Click on the image or video you want to add to your email.
  5. 5 On the preview screen that appears, click the Select button.
  6. 6 Your photo or video will be added to your email and you can add other images and videos in the same way.

Tips

  • On iPhone, you may need to use the arrows on the pop-up menu to access the Insert photo or video button.

Warnings

  • If you add too many photos or videos to your email, it may be too large to send. To reduce the size of your mail, send attachments in multiple messages.

What do you need

  • iOS 6 or later
