Mushrooms are a great snack and they are very nutritious. Some people, myself included, did not like their taste until I found this amazing way to significantly improve the taste and learned how to clean them.

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms
  • Garlic
  • Vegetable oil, butter, or anti-stick cooking spray

Steps

  1. 1 Go to the grocery store and buy a bag of mushrooms.
  2. 2 When you get home, place the mushrooms in a large bowl in the sink and fill it with water.
    • Wash the mushrooms, but do not soak them.
  3. 3 Place the mushrooms in a colander or drain to dry.
  4. 4 Chop the mushrooms the way you like: cubes or in any shape!
  5. 5 Take one or two large cloves of garlic (depending on how many mushrooms you are cooking) and chop thinly.
  6. 6 Place a skillet over medium heat and spray. You can also add oil or butter to the skillet. When the oil is bubbling, add the minced garlic. When it turns golden or caramelized, add the mushrooms, stir the ingredients, salt, pepper and sprinkle with some cumin (if you like it).
  7. 7 Wait until the mushrooms are very dark and delicate in taste - you can tell by just tasting them.
  8. 8 Add mushrooms to steak, chicken, or any other food you like.
