Have you ever wanted to climb higher and take a look around the vast expanses in front of you? Then why not build a tower with a height of 255 blocks (the maximum height in Minecraft) for this? Minecraft is the perfect place to make your tower-building dream come true. With the right materials, the right mindset and the concept of your ideal tower taken care of, very soon it will be unmatched.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Tower Layout

1. 1 Select the appropriate mode. The good thing about Creative Mode is that you don't have to interrupt or be distracted by looking for materials when building your tower. Survival mode will undoubtedly be more prestigious among your friends, and you can use the tower itself as a cover from mobs.
2. 2 Prepare building materials for your tower. Take with you as many resources as you can so that you don't have to pause the construction of the tower. If you want your tower to be monotonous, use the blocks that are available in abundance.
   • Note that some materials, such as sand and gravel, are subject to gravity.
3. 3 Don't forget to grab a bucket of water. If you walled yourself up in your tower, cutting off all the paths down, jump off the tower and use the bucket of water while falling to pour water under you and thereby prevent death.
4. 4 Find a place. The upper limit of the Minecraft world is 255 vertical blocks, but to create the tallest tower you should start at block 1. If you really want to create the tallest tower possible, you will have to dig a deep hole to lay the foundation at the deepest point.
   • On the computer version of Minecraft, you can click F3 and find out your height.
5. 5 Lay out the tower. Take out a sheet of graph paper and start sketching the drawing. Maybe you want to recreate the Gothic style of architecture? Or will you be satisfied with a simple and understandable square shape that rises to heaven? Also think about how you will descend and ascend. Having a ladder will greatly speed up your vertical convergence.
   • Rely on your imagination, but keep in mind that the wider the base of the tower, the more material you will need to complete it. And the more material you need, the more time it will take to collect it.
6. 6 Take a look at the buildings in the world. Who knows, maybe you will be visited by inspiration! You can even use the finished building as the base for your new tower.
7. 7 Join forces with your friends. The construction of such a large-scale building in Minecraft can take you prohibitively long. Plus, bringing in additional builders can benefit your tower. Invite your friends to help you build the largest and best tower in the world.

Part 2 of 2: Start construction

1. 1 Start with the foundation. A poorly planned foundation can limit the height of your tower.If you want to modify a finished building, start at the deepest point of the building and begin to line it up evenly. Decided to start from scratch? Dig deeper to give yourself maximum room to build up.
   • Use dynamite to speed up the process. Use Explosion to create a depression in the landscape to make room for your high-rise project.
2. 2 Collect about 10+ stacks of the required block. Remember to grab a bucket of water and stick to a projected base. Lay the foundation, then build up.
3. 3 Build as high as the game allows you. The maximum height in the game is 255 blocks. Please note that the first block is located deep in the ground. The construction of the tower from the first to 255 blocks will require certain excavations.
4. 4 Take a leap of faith with your trusty bucket. Or, if possible, use the stairs built in the tower. Make sure your bucket is filled with water before jumping, otherwise your character may die from falling from great heights. Jump off the tower, looking down at the ground, and then, while in free fall, use the bucket with the left mouse button. This bug should protect you from death.
5. 5 Replenish your supplies and return to the tower. Consider setting up sites that can be used for storing materials or as anchor points for your towering tower in the sky.
6. 6 Keep building until you're happy. A set of stairs will allow you to navigate inside your tower. In winter, it would not hurt to install a door, well, or a drawbridge if your tower is made in a medieval style.
