Seven easy and cheap ways to get more horses out of your pony.
Steps
- 1 The most inexpensive and, at the same time, the easiest way. Remove all debris from the machine, thereby reducing its weight.
- 2 Pay someone else or clean the engine and air intake (air filter) yourself.
- 3 Take some more powerful candles. If you have 5245 installed, take 5248.
- 4 Set "forward flow". But don't just go for the largest "can" that can even reduce power.
- 5 Install MSD generator.
- 6 Purchase a "zero" air filter of a well-known brand, for example, K&N.
- 7 Cut the muffler for more power and sound.
- 8 If you don't have a turbine, install it. If there is, then you can put the turbine more powerful.
Tips
- The addition of nitrous oxide (NOS) or turbine may require replacement of internal engine parts with more pressure resistant ones.
- Note that larger turbos take longer to spin up, so you can lose power on the low end. Also, if you put a turbine too big for your exhaust system, you can only slow down the car.
- If you want a noticeable boost in productivity and are willing to splurge, consider purchasing and installing a nitrous oxide system. But remember that in this way you are sacrificing the safety and durability of the machine.
Warnings
- Larger spark plugs can damage the engine, make sure the spark plug fits securely into the cylinder head and does not come into contact with the piston or valves.
- Depending on the type of car you have, an exhaust system that does not produce enough back pressure can reduce engine power.
