Cleaning the floor mats in your car may not seem as important to you as keeping your car in good working order, especially the engine and other mechanical parts. However, a clean interior will make you feel the difference when your beloved car is groomed. Cleaning car mats is not a complicated process and will take you very little time. The reward of order and cleanliness, a cleaned car interior means much more than the time you spend on this simple task.

Steps

1. 1 Tidy up the inside of your car and pick up any items that lie on the rugs. Remove any unnecessary items around the machine. Cars have a lot of specially prepared places for storing food items; most cars have a convenient glove compartment. Tuck large items into the trunk and store items that you may need soon, such as sunglasses, CDs, or a cell phone with chargers in convenient places in the front of your car.
2. 2 Pull out the rugs. Pull out and shake them correctly so that all pieces of dirt and other debris do not fall on the vehicle. It is best to spread them out on a dry area next to your vehicle.
3. 3 Vacuum the machine thoroughly. Vacuum under pedals, seats, and crevices throughout your car to tighten and remove any remaining dirt, crumbs, and debris from your car floor. If you leave too much debris in the car when you start cleaning the rugs, your cleaning will be useless, as any remaining debris will end up on the clean rugs again.
4. 4 Choose a carpet cleaner and find a good brush. There is a wide selection of all kinds of carpet cleaning products on the market and there are even special products for car mats, but they are all quite similar. It doesn't matter which product you use, the method is the same. Even detergent is suitable for this! Look for a soft bristled brush to help rub the detergent into the fabric surface of the rug.
5. 5 Clean the carpeted carpet. Spread the carpet cleaner on the fabric surface of the vehicle interior, then brush slowly and gradually. If necessary, return to problem areas with stains or large accumulations of dirt. Spread the product evenly and keep cleaning until you are happy with the result.
6. 6 Wash the rugs with a cleaning agent. While there is a fabric covering the car, go back to your removed carpets and wash them with detergent using a brush. Carpets are often one of the dirtiest parts of your car because you get dirty shoes on them while driving. Return the carpets to the car after they are dry.
