If you're a regular Twitter user, you've probably seen some pretty interesting tweets from people around the world. Replying to a tweet is very similar to sending a regular tweet. You can easily reply to someone using either a computer or a mobile device.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Using a Browser

  1. 1 Sign in to Twitter. If you reply to tweets, you need to log into your Twitter account. Read this guide for details on creating a Twitter account.
  2. 2 Find the tweet you want to reply to. On Twitter, you will see a list of all your recently received tweets. Scroll through them until you find the tweet you want to reply to.
  3. 3 Click "Reply" below the tweet. A window will open that will allow you to type the text of the response.
    • By default, a tweet will be directed to the user you are replying to, designated "@username". You can add other recipients by typing the @ symbol followed by username.
  4. 4 Enter your answer. Your tweet must be a maximum of 140 characters long, including the recipient username. The number of characters remaining can be seen at the bottom of the answer field. You can also attach a photo by clicking the "Add photo" button. Search your computer for an image to add it.
  5. 5 Submit your answer. When you're ready to send your tweet, click the "Tweet" button.

Method 2 of 2: Using the Twitter App

  1. 1 Sign in to Twitter. In order to reply to tweets using the Twitter app, you need to register for the account you want to reply to. If you don't have the Twitter app, you can download it for free from the Google Play store or Apple App.
  2. 2 Find the tweet you want to reply to. On Twitter, you will see a list of all your recently received tweets. Scroll down until you find the tweet you want to reply to.
  3. 3 Click the "Reply" button below the tweet. It looks like a small left arrow. Clicking on the reply button will open a text box where you can enter your reply.
