This article will show you how to unsubscribe from Instagram users on both mobile and desktop. Unfortunately, there is no such feature on Instagram that would allow you to cancel all your subscriptions at once. Instagram has a limit on how many people per hour you can subscribe or unsubscribe to. If you cancel your subscription for a large number of users in a short period of time, it will temporarily block your account.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On iPhone and Android

1. 1 Launch Instagram by clicking on the multi-colored icon resembling a camera. If you are already signed in, you will find yourself on the main Instagram page.
   • If you are not signed in to your account, enter your username (or phone number) and password, and then click Sign In.
2. 2 Click on your profile picture in the lower right corner of the screen.
3. 3 Open the "Subscribers" section in the upper right corner of the screen. It will present a list of the people you are currently following.
   • Above is the number of people you follow.
4. 4 Press Subscriptions next to the person's name. These buttons will be located to the right of each person you follow.
5. 5 Click on Unsubscribe when prompted in a pop-up window to unsubscribe from the selected user.
6. 6 Repeat the procedure to unsubscribe from all accounts you follow. When done, there should be no users left in the Subscriptions list.
   • On some Instagram accounts - especially new ones - you can only unsubscribe from 200 accounts per hour.

Method 2 of 2: On Windows and Mac

1. 1 Open the Instagram website. You can find it at: https://www.instagram.com/. If you are already logged into Instagram on your computer, then you will find yourself in the Instagram news feed.
   • If you are not logged in yet, enter your username (or phone number) and password to access your account.
2. 2 Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of your Instagram feed. This will take you to your profile page.
3. 3 Open the Subscribers section at the top of your profile page, below and to the right of your username. A list of the people you are currently following will be presented here.
   • The number in the Followers section represents the number of people you follow.
4. 4 Press Subscriptions to the right of your account to cancel your subscription. In the place where the Subscription button was, a blue Subscribe button should appear.
5. 5 Repeat to unsubscribe from all accounts you follow. When done, there should be no users left in the Subscriptions list.
   • On some Instagram accounts, users have to wait about an hour after every 200 canceled subscriptions before continuing.

Tips

• Despite the existence of apps that allow you to massively unsubscribe from users on Instagram, they usually charge a fee for their services.

Warnings

• If you unsubscribe from too many users in an hour, your account may be temporarily blocked, and your subscription / unsubscribe limit may be reduced to several per hour.
