If you think your pet is worthy of a real celebration in his honor, organize a dog party. It can be any activity that your pet would like. You can even bake a sponge cake for him! Whether you want to celebrate your dog's birthday, or just pamper it for no reason, our tips will help you organize your dog's party in a way that will keep your pet happy.

Steps

  1. 1 Plan your party in advance, at least a week before the event. Think carefully about the event.Pick a theme, say Star Wars, and make a canine parody called Pug Wars. Hang balloons and themed images around the house.
  2. 2 Choose a party location that is safe for you, your pet and his friends. If you have enough space in your house, and all your "guests" are accustomed to asking to use the toilet, you can have a party right in the house. If you have a fenced-in backyard, you can gather guests there, just protect vulnerable flower beds and keep poisonous plants away from animals. You can have a celebration in the park or on the beach, where it is allowed to walk the dogs. Contact the owners in advance and reserve your seat.
  3. 3 Set a date. Your pet's birthday is listed in its pedigree. If you do not know the date of his birth, choose the date yourself and celebrate his birthday on that day. However, you can throw a party for any reason - on New Years or Christmas. If you decide to have a party on Easter, remember that dogs should not be given chocolate!
  4. 4 Decide on the number of guests (dogs) based on the location and available space. Call your buddies or send them invitations with the date, time and location of the party and remind them to bring their dogs! If it's your pet's birthday, invite them to bring small gifts for the hero of the occasion.
  5. 5 Stock up on dog food, treats, and water. Stock up on disposable bowls for food and drink. Make sure that the animals have enough clean fresh water (tap water in the park is not always of good quality) and always check with the dog owner on the choice of treats and food. For entertaining games, you will need goodies. If you are bringing perishable food with you, bring a portable refrigerator.
  6. 6 Bring more dog toys. In addition to those that you bring, let the hosts of the "guests" bring their favorite toys and beddings for their pets.
  7. 7 Create an entertainment program. Agility competitions can be organized with overcoming obstacles, tunnels and jumping through hoops. Put on a dog show or command demo. Or run the baton - drop the stick and see who brings it up first. Reward dogs for completing tasks and assign them titles (cutest, strongest, fastest), and let each of the "guests" receive at least one award.
  8. 8 And what is this cake-free party?! Ask dog owners if their pets are allergic and avoid unwanted foods. You can of course just buy a biscuit (WITHOUT chocolate and sweets), but that would be too boring! Search the internet for dog pie recipes. There are hundreds of them, and most of them are very simple. Why not take on the role of a chef and make some homemade cookies for your pets ?!
  9. 9 When it's time for your guests to leave, collect small bags of goodies for them. You can put in some cookies and treats, scented dog shampoo (buy a large bottle and pour a little into small bottles for each guest), or gift certificates from pet stores. If you want to pleasantly surprise your friends, collect a gift for each guest individually. Ask owners about their pet's favorite treats, add a few accessories or products for each breed (such as sunscreen for hairless breeds, fur bleach for light-coated dogs, or flannel wipes for slobbering breeds).
  10. 10 Have a lot of fun!

Tips

  • Do not leave dogs unattended. Let each owner monitor their pet's behavior.
  • Be a responsible citizen and stock up on dog waste bags.
  • Use healthy but tasty treats for your dog treats.
  • Be a hospitable host and make sure all guests are happy.
  • Make sure that your "guests" do not quarrel among themselves.
  • Don't make the party too long as the dogs can get tired.

Warnings

  • Dogs can get heatstroke on hot sunny days, so check the weather forecast when choosing a day to party.
