Eagles are large and powerful birds with hooked beaks for tearing apart the flesh of their prey. This guide will show you how to draw them correctly.

Steps

Method 1 of 4: Eagle Perched on a Branch

1. 1 Draw the outline of the eagle's head and body. Draw a circle for the head, a vertical rectangle for the neck, and a large oval for the body. For the beak, attach a small rectangle to the head and an oblique triangle.
2. 2 Draw the outline of the branch below the oval.
3. 3 Attach two small ovals to the branch.They will serve as the legs of the eagle. Attach a rectangle to the body to make a tail.
4. 4 Draw details of the head such as eyes and feathers.
5. 5 Sketch the wings on the eagle's body.
6. 6 Add claws to the legs of the eagle.
7. 7 Draw feathers on the tail.
8. 8 Erase unnecessary lines and color as you see fit.

Method 2 of 4: Flying Eagle

1. 1 Draw the body of the eagle.Make a small circle and attach the oval to the circle that will serve as the body. Insert a pentagon between the two shapes. Add a small rectangle and a small triangle to the head for the beak.
2. 2 Draw two slanted shapes on each side of the body for the wings.
3. 3 Add more detailed shapes on each wing to make them more complex.
4. 4 Draw three quads, one slightly larger than the other two.Add two small circles for the legs.

Method 3 of 4: Cartoon Eagle

1. 1 Draw an oval for the head.
2. 2 Draw an inverted triangle and a small circle behind it for the beak.
3. 3 Draw a large oval that tapers towards the bottom for the body. Then draw two small ovals underneath for the legs.
4. 4 Draw two curved lines connecting the head and body.
5. 5 Draw a triangle for the right wing and a large trapezoid for the left wing.

7. 7 Draw an irregular diamond shape under the body for the tail.
8. 8 Based on the outlines, draw the head and beak along with the eyes. Draw directed, curved lines under the head to complete it.
9. 9 Finish the body and legs based on the outlines, darken the desired lines and draw details.
10. 10 Complete the wings and tail based on the outline. Draw curved lines inside and at the edges of the wings and tail to represent the feathers.
11. 11 Erase unnecessary lines.
12. 12 Color the eagle!

Method 4 of 4: Traditional Eagle

1. 1 Draw an oval to outline the body.
2. 2 Draw a circle for the head and two curved lines connecting the head and body.
3. 3 Draw an irregular rectangle on the right side of the head.
4. 4 Draw two ovals for the legs and two circles for the feet.
5. 5 Draw two lines above the body for the outline of the wing and a trapezoid on the left side for the tail.
6. 6 Finish the outline of the wing by drawing curved lines from the edge of the wing, connecting the body.
7. 7 Finish the head, body and legs from the sketches, darken the desired lines and draw details.
8. 8 Complete the wings and tail based on the sketch. Draw sharp, curved lines at the edges to represent the feathers.
9. 9 Erase unnecessary lines.
10. 10 Draw additional details.
11. 11 Color your eagle.
