This article will show you how to find users from a specific city, who can then be added to your friends list (in the desktop version of the site).

Steps

1. 1 Go to the website Facebook. Enter www.facebook.com into your browser address bar and click ↵ Enter on keyboard. You will find yourself in your news feed.
   • If you are not automatically signed in, enter your email address or phone number and password.
2. 2 Click on your name. This button is next to the Home button in the upper-right corner of the page. You will be taken to your profile page.
   • To do this, you can also click on your first and last name at the top of the navigation menu, which is located in the upper left corner of the news feed.
3. 3 Click on the tab Friends under the profile photo, between the "Information" and "Photo" tabs. You will see a list of all your friends.
4. 4 Click on the button + Find friends. It is above the search field. Find your friends in the upper right corner of your friends list. You will see a “You May Know Them” list, which will display the profiles of people you might want to add as friends.
   • If you have active friend requests that you have not yet responded to, then above the "You may know them" list, you will see a list of friend requests.
5. 5 Find the "Current City" section in the "Find Friends" field. This field is on the right side of the screen. You can apply several filters to the You May Know Them list (for example, filter by name, hometown, employer, and current city).
6. 6 Select a city under the "Current City" option. Check the box for the city you want. Thus, you will filter the list "You may know them", after which only those people who live in the selected city will remain in it.
   • You can also click on the text box at the bottom of the list and enter the city name in it. Enter and select any city to filter the results.
