This article will show you how to change one of the custom playlists in Spotify and how to download a new playlist cover art from your computer.

Steps

  1. 1 Launch Spotify on your computer. The program icon looks like a green circle with black sound waves. It can be found in the Applications folder on Mac or in the Start menu on Windows.
  2. 2 Click on the playlist in the left pane. Find the PLAYLISTS heading in the navigation menu on the left side of the window and open the playlist you want to edit.
    • You can only change your playlists. Other users' playlists that you have saved to your library cannot be changed.
  3. 3 Hover over playlist cover. The playlist image is above the song list. When you hover over the cover, a white pencil icon will appear on it.
  4. 4 Click on the white pencil icon. This will open a new pop-up window where you can change the title, cover, and description of the playlist.
  5. 5 Click on the button CHOOSE IMAGE (Select image) on the cover of the playlist, in the edit window. With it, you can select and upload an image from your computer.
  6. 6 Find and select the image you want to download on your computer. Browse the files in the download window and click on the image you want to make the cover of the playlist.
  7. 7 Press Open in the download window. This will load the selected image and make it a new playlist cover in the edit window.
    • You can also click ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on keyboard.
  8. 8 Click on the green button SAVE (Save) at the bottom of the editing window to save the new cover for the playlist.
