1 Cleanse your face. Before applying makeup in the morning, be sure to cleanse your face. Use a special product or simply rinse your face with warm water to cleanse your face. Pat it dry with a soft towel.
  • Try not to wash your face with hot water - it dries out your skin and can cause irritation.
  • Do not scrub dry skin as it will injure it.
  • 2 You can do peeling. You don't have to exfoliate every day, but if you do it every few days, your skin will look very good. Makeup on top of dry, flaky skin will not beautify anyone. Use either a small face washcloth or a peeling gel. Pay special attention to areas prone to dryness and flaking.
    • To keep your skin in good condition, make special masks from time to time. For example, clay masks cleanse pores well and reduce flaking.
  • 3 Apply a moisturizer. The last but not least step before applying makeup is using a moisturizer. After that, the makeup lays down and lasts better. Match your moisturizer to your skin type. Massage it in gently, and don't forget about your eyelids, nose and lips.
    • Wait a few minutes for the cream to absorb before applying makeup. Otherwise, the makeup will turn out to be very "dirty".
  • Part 2 of 3: Apply foundation or powder

    1. 1 Apply a foundation that matches your skin color and type. Liquid creams work well for a variety of skin types. You can use BB cream, CC cream, or tinted moisturizer. For oily skin, powders are more suitable. Before buying, be sure to check if the color matches by applying the product to the back of your hand.
      • Spread the product evenly over the skin using a brush, sponge or fingers. Make sure that it does not wrinkle or collect in lumps.
      • You don't need to add many layers of foundation over redness or other imperfections - this will make them even more conspicuous.
      • Blend the borders well so that the transition between the painted face and the unpainted parts is as invisible as possible.

Professional trick: apply the highlighter just above the cheekbones immediately after applying the foundation. This will make your makeup shine even more and you will look fabulous!

    2. 2 Apply concealer. Choose one that blends well with your skin color, or one that is lighter if you have dark circles under your eyes. Apply with a brush or finger under the eyes and blend. This will make your eyes shine.
      • If you're looking for an express makeover, skip the concealer step. It depends on what needs to be hidden and what needs to be emphasized.
      • You can use a little more concealer on the redness if needed. (Remember to match with skin color).

Apply primer ahead of time to help concealer last longer. Then use concealer to mask dark circles and blemishes like dark areas under the eyes.

    3. 3 Apply powder. As before, the color should match the skin color as much as possible. Use a large, fluffy brush to spread the product evenly. Apply the powder in a circular motion - this will look very natural and the foundation will last better throughout the day.
      • When you have more time for makeup, use a bronzer or highlighter to contour your face. The bronzer helps to create successful shadows, and the highlighter brightens the areas you want to make more voluminous.
    4. 4 Apply blush. Choose shades of pink that add a healthy glow. Take a small amount of the product on the brush, smile and apply blush on the apples of your cheeks in a circular motion.

Part 3 of 3: Eye and Lip Makeup

    1. 1 Apply eyeshadow. Choose neutral makeup palettes for every day. Browns, golds, grays and blues will look great depending on your eye color. Avoid smokey ice palettes and pearlescent eyeshadows as they look out of place in daytime makeup. To make the shadows look natural and attractive, do the following:
      • Start by applying a base color that matches your skin tone. Use a brush or finger to spread the eyeshadow all over the lid and up to the brow.
      • Add a medium shade to the lid, working from the lash line to the crease.
      • Blend the colors with a fluffy brush into the crease of the eyelid.
    2. 2 Use eyeliner. Choose a dark gray, blue, or brown for daytime makeup, and leave black for evening makeup. Draw in the upper lash line, trying to make a thin, soft arrow. To make the line look softer, blend it well.
      • You can use a pencil or liquid eyeliner - they work equally well for daytime makeup.
      • If the arrow is smeared, gently wipe it off with a cotton swab and try again.
      • For daytime make-up, do not let the lower eyelid down.
    3. 3 Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes. Place the brush at the base of the lash line and wave it several times (not forgetting about the lashes). When one eye is already painted over, dip the brush in mascara and repeat the steps. Black and brown mascara work equally well for everyday makeup.
      • If you do not want to use mascara, you can simply curl your lashes with a special tool for a natural and beautiful result.
    4. 4 Apply lip product. Use a neutral lipstick or gloss to complete the look. Try not to use lip liner or bright flashy colors during the day. Blot your lips with a tissue to remove excess product.
      • If you want to use a bright lipstick or gloss to tone down the color a little, you can apply the product only to the lower lip, then purse your lips as you dispense the product, and then apply a translucent gloss.
