This article will show you how to export your Skype chat history to a different folder on your computer.
Steps
- 1 Open the classic version of Skype. If your computer is running Windows, you will find it in the Start menu. If it's a Mac, it's in the Applications folder. Look for a blue icon with a white "S" symbol.
- These instructions apply only to the "classic" version of Skype for Windows and mac OS. If you are using the Skype for Windows 10 app, go to: https://www.skype.com/ru/get-skype/, scroll down and click the Download Skype for Windows button, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the application.
- 2 Click on the Skype menu in the upper left corner of the window.
- 3 Select Security from the drop-down menu.
- 4 Click on Export chat history in the third section of settings.
- 5 Select a folder to save. Select any location on your computer, including a removable drive.
- 6 Click Save. From now on, the entire chat history will be saved in the selected folder.
