- Turn off the oven and let cool completely.
- Remove the oven door and let the position completely horizontal.
- Cover the vents on the top of the oven with a rag or plastic. The vent is the location where air flows from the oven door when the oven is heated. Detergent or water can stick and get trapped in the vents, thus causing permanent dullness.
- Mix 1 cup (310 g) of baking soda with 1/2 cup (120 ml) water in a bowl.
- Stir until the mixture thickens.
- Add baking soda or water to make it thick enough and won't melt.
Clean the front glass door.
- Soak a soft cloth in hot water, then wring it dry.
- Wipe gently on the glass door to remove dirt and debris.
- Squeeze a little bit of the mixture between your index finger and thumb, then rub it all over the glass door.
- Spread the baking soda mixture evenly over the windows. Make sure the mixture doesn't drip out while you rub it.
- Rub evenly over the glass in a circular motion.
- Rub along glass doors and overlap in place.
- Apply a generous amount of baking soda mixture to dirty areas, then gently massage with a wet, soft cloth.
Leave the baking soda mixture on the glass for about 15 minutes and start scraping off the accumulated plaque with a spatula or plastic scraper. This stage usually takes a long time.
Pour distilled white vinegar into a spray bottle.
Method 2 of 2: Regularly clean oven windows with bare hands after cooking
- Let oven cool completely.
- Wipe the inside of the oven window with a wet cloth.
- Look for a straight / flat razor (with handle).
- Scrape off any dirt from the oven window.
- Vacuum or wipe off debris.
- Sanitize by washing and wiping. Regular cleaning of the cold oven will help prevent the risk of dirt sticking to the oven. Take some time after washing the dishes in the morning or noon to clean the oven when it has cooled completely. Or you can also clean the oven at your leisure time in the evening or immediately after dinner. advertisement
Advice
- Products that can remove grease are dishwashing liquid, lemon juice, and commercially available washers.
Warning
- You should wear appropriate protective equipment before handling commercial cleaning products. Rubber gloves and a mask should be worn during oven cleaning.
- Do not use cleaning products that can cause abrasion or the sponge can scratch the door glass. These products can scratch the glass, making it easier to fade and become dirty.
