This article will show you how to use your computer browser to find the people you want to make friends with in a certain city.

Steps

1. 

   Open the page Facebook in the browser. You will enter www.facebook.com in the address bar of your browser and press the key ↵ Enter on the keyboard. The Facebook News Feed page will display.
   • If you aren't logged into Facebook, you'll need to enter your email address or phone number and password to log in.

   Click on your name. This button is located next to the Home button in the upper right corner of the browser screen. You will go to your profile page.
   • Or you can click on your full name in the navigation menu in the upper left corner of the News Feed.

   Click the card Friends (Friend). This card is in the middle of the card About (Introduce and Photos (Photo) under the cover photo. A list of all your friends will be displayed.

   Click the button + Find Friends (Find friend). This button is on the box Search for your friends (Search friends) in the upper right corner of the list of friends. This will open a list of names and avatars of people you might know and want to make friends with.
   • If you have an unanswered friend invitation, you'll see a waiting list of friend requests on a list of people you might know.

   Find the Current City entry in the Search for Friends box. This box is on the right side of the screen. You can use various filters in the list of people you might know, such as name, country of origin, workplace, current city.

   Select a city under Current City. Click the box next to the city you want to select. This will filter a list of people you may know and show only people who live in the city you choose.
   • Or, click the text input area below the list and enter the name of a city, you can enter and select any city to filter and search.
