You can clean faux fur, also called fake, by hand, washing machine or dry cleaning, but the method you choose depends on the type of faux fur you will be cleaning. Method 1 of 3: Machine Wash Faux Fur

1. 1 Place the faux fur garment in the washing machine. If it's a piece of clothing, turn it inside out so the fur will wear less.
2. 2 Select a delicate wash and cold water in the wash cycle settings.
